I am puzzled by the date on the Spring House photo.  The caption says it
was built prior to 1700.   Is this the same Jacob Hochstetler that
arrived in 1739 and settled along the Northkill Creek by 1739?  Was the
Spring House built more than 40 years prior to Jacob settling there?

Good Morning Les,

The date of 1700 on this photo is incorrect. That area was a newly-opened area when the Detweiler’s first settled there in 1736(?). The Hochtetlers arrived there in 1737.
