I am forwarding a message from the planners of next year's Annual Meeting. We have always had our business meeting on Saturday morning with events ending after lunch. Because of the availability of the bus for the intended tour of Rockingham County, the planners are asking if we could flip the meeting to Friday with the tour on Saturday. Since many of our attendees are retired, this may not be such a big thing, but then again we don't want to leave out others who either need to work on Friday or use that day for travel.
Before we can give a reply, I thought we would conduct a little survey of the member's view upon this.
Please respond directly to me and I will tally the results and comments. Don't reply to the ListServ because some members find it annoying to receive many many replys to the same question which they then decide to block all messages from the ListServ.

Hello, Wayne, Loren, and Bob.The 2026 SAGA Conference planners need some quick input from the SAGA board. We recently discovered that our affordable tour bus is ONLY available on Saturday, April 18. In other words, all the company's buses are booked for Friday, April 17. So if we do offer a bus tour, it would have to be on Saturday. This would mean that the business meeting and two or three speakers would have to move to Friday afternoon or evening. This would be different from what SAGA conferences have done in the past. So here is the question: How important is it to keep the business meeting on Saturday? Would attendance drop significantly if the business meeting were moved to Friday afternoon or evening? We currently have a right-of-first-refusal on a tour bus for April 18, but that won't last long. So we do need to answer this question quickly. Many thanks.
