Ancestral homes

I’m interested in Info on ancestral homes (Switzerland and subsequently the Palatinate) for the following Amish and Mennonite surnames:
KauffmanBylerSchmuckerBeechy/Beachy/Peachey
In other words, where did these families come from in Switzerland and where did they go to in the Palatinate before migrating to America?
I recognize there are alternative spellings for these families.
Thanks.

Unless you don't want to simply rely on family histories, there's a
useful (free) site
https://hls-dhs-dss.ch/famn/index.php

Check surname /Kaufmann/ inclines there is no clear answer to your
question. Even to limit for Kaufmann homesteads prior to 1800, there are
dozens of homentowns in eleven Swiss cantons.
Associated with Anabaptist branches is /Grindelwald/, Canton Bern.
Kaufmann-traces there are evident from early 1500 on, but hereditairy
sunames existed at least two or three centuries before.

Friedas ancester was born 1718 in Grindelwald, his offspring lived in
Basel area and across the borders in Baden and Alsaceson was recorded in
Basel, residing in Ste.-Marie-aux-Mines (Alsace), Frieda's Family
emigrating 1892 to Kansas.
This is ONE sample only, other Kaufmanns came to America early/mid 1700.

In my eyes, the only way is to trace your ancesters back, generation by
generation, critically keeping apart facts and possibilities. BTW, I
found more reasons to doubt than to confirm the infos that have been
published about my own early ancesters.
